International Admission to Ellis University

Admission Requirements for International Students

Ellis is proud to be considered "the college of choice" among international students and alumni seeking their online distance education from a prestigious U.S. academic institution. Ellis understands that the needs of international students may differ from that of their U.S. peers, and we strive to ensure that every Ellis student receives the instruction and guidance needed to foster success in their online distance education. We do our best to accommodate all students as needed, but it is important to note that all online Ellis University courses are taught in English.

In order to ensure that our international students obtain the maximum benefit from their online distance education, Ellis requires all prospective international students to provide the following documentation prior to enrollment:

Official transcripts from all foreign institutions must be sent to an education evaluation agency approved by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. For undergraduate transfers, evaluation must be done on a course-by-course basis. The completed evaluation must be sent directly from the evaluation agency to the Ellis University Office of Academic Records. In addition, for verification purposes, official transcripts from all foreign institutions must also be sent to Ellis University directly from the institution. All evaluations and transcripts should be sent directly from the issuer to the following address:

Ellis University
Office of Academic Records
111 N. Canal Street, Ste. 380
Chicago IL 60606
USA

Note: Prospective student is responsible for all costs and labor associated with obtaining the appropriate documentation.

International students may be required to take a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submit the results to Ellis University prior to enrollment. The prospective student is required to cover all costs associated with taking the TOEFL, which is approximately $200 U.S.
